Tom Hay
Executive Vice President
Mr. Hay leads the strategic direction and oversight of Petters Real Estate Group. Mr. Hay joined Petters Group Worldwide in 1998 and currently serves as EVP of Legal Affairs and Corporate Development. He began a 35-year career with Dorsey & Whitney, LLP in 1962 and became a partner in 1968. He practiced in the areas of public and corporate finance. His tenure at Petters Group has seen him involved in all aspects of Petters Group and several businesses in which it is invested.
Tom Klassen
Managing Director
Mr. Klassen acts as a key lead in sourcing new real estate investments. In addition, he also serves as the key lead in the development and construction of projects. Prior to joining Petters Real Estate Group, Mr. Klassen served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Collegeville Development Group, a senior housing developer, and as Chief Corporate Officer of SMDC, a large regional health care system.
Jon McGaunn
Managing Director
Mr. McGaunn provides asset and operational management for resort and hotel properties. His previous experience in hospitality operations provides a better understanding of the customer and allows for great operational and customer orientation skills. Prior to joining Petters Real Estate Group, Mr. McGaunn served as President of Petters Hospitality and spent 10 years with the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company in various locations and positions. Mr. McGaunn holds a Bachelor of Science Degree at the School of Hospitality & Restaurant Management from Widener University.
Tom Salmen
Managing Director
Mr. Salmen acts as key lead in the sourcing and financing of real estate investments as well as oversight of asset management. Prior to joining Petters Real Estate Group he was with Heitman, a real estate investment management firm and the accounting firm of Ernst & Young. He holds a BS from Boston College, an MBA from the University of Chicago and is also a certified public accountant. He is a full member of the Urban Land Institute.
